Is He the Wright Guy?

I will open this article up with a opinion. Some might not like it but I feel someone should say it. The New York Mets should trade David Wright.

I have been watching theses lack-luster Mets and have been getting sick. They find ways to make you want to vomit. I'm sick of hearing we are not healthy or we will come around. These Mets are built to lose they just don't have the fire.

A lot of this has to do with David Wright. He is supposed to be the face of the franchise the captain. The problem is he is to soft to be either of them. These are the stats that really stick out in my mind, he is batting .182 with the bases loaded and .242 with runners on and two outs. He just doesn't get the big hit when we need it. It would be fine if we had a monster bat hitting behind him. Someone who will hit a home run in the ninth, like a Beltran and Delgado in 2006.

David has no help and would be better off on a small market team. Lets face it he isn't a New York kinda guy. If the mets could land a a clutch hitting guy with power things might be more fun. Now I don't know what we could get for David, I would think a slugger and a solid pitcher. I just feel if the mets want to win David just isn't the guy to carry us. If we could land a clutch hitting slugger in the big apple then I don't care what David does in the ninth.

Now yes he is batting .352 and has a .411 OBS, never the less he just doesn't win games. I don't see how Citi is the reason he can't hit homers, don't forget he only has one long ball on the road. Where did his power go? It's a shame that Wright can't be that Jeter I hoped he would become. The guy is a good baseball player and a good man. It seems he is just to soft to be the key player in a franchise.

The Mets would stand a better chance to win a WS if David is not present. Now yes the only way the Mets should trade him is if we can get a great deal. Personally I don't see this happening, for two reasons. He is still batting .352 and the Mets would not get what we need for Dave. Hopefully he can turn things around, he needs to get that power stroke back. Also hitting when it matters would make things a whole lot better. I never will doubt this mans talent but I do doubt him mentally.

This season will be resting on Dav's back, well see how much heart Mr. Wright really has.

Lawson a Possibility for New Jersey?

The big knock on point guard Ty Lawson is he is too short. Standing at 5'11, many believe Lawson will be ineffective on the big stage. The Nets seem to disagree with that statement.
Lawson worked out with the Nets Wednesday along with Jrue Holiday of UCLA and Gerald Henderson of Duke. Lawson impressed New Jersey, but is it worth it to draft a third point guard with the number 11 pick? The Nets have more glaring need with already having an all-star guard in Devin Harris.
New Jersey needs an athletic big that can bang down low, grab some boards, and score on occasion. Recent reports are saying that Lawson's teammate, Tyler Hansbrough, and Louisville forwards Earl Clark and Terrance Williams are climbing up the Nets draft boards.
If the Nets decide to gamble and pick Lawson, they could have the fastest back court in the league. Devin Harris is easily the fastest Point Guard in the league, and Lawson dominated College with his speed and quickness.
If the Nets are set on taking Lawson, they may want to trade back in the draft. Maybe a swap with Chicago sending the number 11 pick and Bobby Simmons to Chicago for their 16th and 26th pick.
Rod Thorn seems to like a lot of players in this draft and needs to see how the draft is playing out before making his decision. My prediction: New Jersey selects Earl Clark with the Number 11 pick in next Thursdays draft.

Top Ten Baseball Rivalry's

There are a lot of great baseball rivals in past years. What is a baseball rival you might ask? Well to me a baseball rivalry is when you, as a fan, hate the opposing teams and their fans. Its a rivalry thats is played on ESPN or FOX, its a rivalry where both teams are WS contenders. There is blood shed and words exchanged. Its the single greatest part of any sports. Here is my top ten so please enjoy!

Ten: Florida Marlins VS Tampa Rays.(Citrus Series)

Now I know what your thinking this rivalry isn't too competitive. Now in recent years this might be true, not the case now. With the Rays finally stepping up and playing some real baseball, this rivalry gets fun. The Marlins have had their good years and their terrible years, but as of now they are a team in the hunt. With the Rays in the hunt as well this series is born. So Florida get ready for some fun baseball in the sun.

Nine: Oakland Athletics VS San Fransisco Giants.(Bay Bridge Series)

With the A's not being so great, this rivalry takes a big hit. In past years this rivalry was led by Ricky Henderson and everyone's favorite Barry Bonds. I feel after the 1989 WS (“the earthquake series”) this rivalry was born. With the Athletics taking only eight more wins this series is close and competitive. I feel it will be the same this year do to the fact neither team is anything special.

Eight: LA Dodgers VS LA Angels. (Freeway Series)

Next to New York, Los Angeles has the best talent in the major leagues. With the Dodgers being top of the NL, and the Angels barely being over .500 this is a major mix-up. This series is always fought hard by both teams. The Dodgers might hold the edge, but any given day the Angels still the talent to pull one out.

Seven: New York Giants VS Brooklyn Dodgers

I know these teams haven't squared off in more than a half a century, but these games were fought to the bone. From Willie Mays to Jackie Robinson this series had a lot hard nosed playing. Both teams were fighting for bragging rights in the National League year and year out. For you see most the time the World Series ended up going through one of these stadiums. Since moving out West this series has lost some fire.

Six: New York Mets VS New York Yankees (Subway Series)

Five years ago, I would of put this rivalry in the top three, but as of late it seems that neither team is fiercely competing. Led by Jeter and Wright this series is still very compelling. With both teams having the highest payrolls in the majors, this series better be compelling. With the Mets getting their super stars back and the Yanks still on a hot streak this series still can't be predictive.

I hope to see these teams battling it out, not for themselves, but for the fans. For the fans they haven't lost their desire for bragging rights. This might not rank up with the Yankee-Dodger series but never the less they are still fighting for the king of New York City.

Five: Chicago Cubs VS Chicago White Sox (Windy City Series)

Ever since Barrett smacked Pierzynski in the face, this is one of my favorite series to watch. With Chicago being one of most passionate cities this makes this rivalry so much better. Along with Los Angeles and New York, Chicago is another star filled city.

With Lou Pinnela and Ozzie Guillen being the managers for both squads, this series will be bursting with fire and intensity. Honestly, I don't know any interleague series that is better than this. Lets hope this series lives up to its hype.

Four: Chicago Cubs VS St. Louis Cardinals

For the past five years, the Cubs and Cardinals have been splitting the NL Central crown. Led by the stars of Albert Pujols and Alfonso Soriano, this series is jam packed with talent. Since the first series played in 1885, the series has displayed emotion, desire, and fire. Over the years this rivalry has not died down at all. With the series not being dominated by either team, after over 2,000 games the series is near split. My belief is that the winner of this division will go through either St. Louis or Chicago.

Three: New York Mets VS Philadelphia Phillies

About ten years ago number three would be Mets and Braves, but since the Braves have fallen these two teams have ruled the NL East. Over the past three years, every game has been intense with the Mets winning the majority. Regardless, coming down to September, you know the Mets and Phillies will be battling it out. The one thing this series lacks is physicalness, hate and the will to win. If the players had as much hate as the fans do, this series would easily be number one.

Two: New York Yankees VS Boston Red Sox

Yes, I know most of you are thinking, why isn't this rivalry number one? There are many reasons this rivalry could be number one. From Curt Schilling's bloody sock to Aaron Boone's heroic homerun to send the Yankees to the World Series, this rivalry is full of drama. With the Yankees dominating in the 1990's, winning 8 straight division titles and 4 World Series, Boston was in the rear view mirrors. Now, with Boston dominating as of late winning 2 World Series and 2 division titles, this rivalry is at an all time high. Some might argue and say that in the 70's this rivalry was more competitive, but I beg to differ. Whether its the brawls, the late game heroics, or the want to win mentality, this series currently is not the best just in baseball, but in all of sports.

One: Dodgers VS Yankees

In the 1950's October in New York, there was only one thought on everyone's mind, will the Yankees and Dodgers meet up in the World Series. Whether it was Duke Snider vs Yogi Berra or Jackie Robinson vs Mickey Mantle, this rivalry is ultimately number one. Meeting in the World Series 11 times is the reason this rivalry is number one. Even though the Yankees dominated, winning 8 of 11 world series, this rivalry was the most competitive.

The true bragging rights for New York was between the Yankees and Dodgers. The boroughs of the Bronx, and Brooklyn being in the same city, yet almost countries of their own, this rivalry is the most intense. Sadly, it was cut short for the lack of meetings during interleague play or in the World Series. Hopefully this rivalry can be heated back up by scheduling from the MLB or a possible World Series match-up which is likely with the start of both teams.

Bring On The Big Boys

After a dismal road trip against bottom feeders of the league, the Mets will head back to Citi to play the first place Phillies. This is a great series for the Mets to prove to everyone ,including themselves, that they are a good ball-club. The struggling Mets went 2-4 to the Pirates and the Nats not something to be proud of. They did win the last two of three however, by doing so it prevented the road trip from being a complete disaster. I have been thinking about it and maybe since the Mets played down to the Nats and Pirates they will play up to the Yanks and Phillies.

This series doesn't determine the season. All us Met fans should be well aware of that. After the last two season's nothing from April to August matters. However if the Mets do have a great 6 game swing, things will become very fun.

This time of year is always the best. With summer approaching, baseball is heating up just like the weather. The fans will be filling there respected stadiums to full capacity. The only sport being talked about on ESPN will be baseball. The hand held radios will be glaring at all the beaches and the different baseball caps will be on every-ones head. This is the time baseball is the talk of the town, and for the love of god lets pray the Mets are being talked about positively.

Now I know in recent years the Mets feel the season ends August 31^st , but they are going to need a great summer to keep the media off them and to build confidence. They are a good team that is getting healthy, they will show us all that in the this next week. With Johan on the mound the Mets hope to get off to a good start. That is key for the Mets to get the first one under there belt. Unlike last week, when they blew a 5-0 lead to the Pirates in the series opener, after that nothing went right. So if they can get up early and stay there, the Mets will be able to breathe easy and come out swinging in the next two games.

The Phillies 'Lights out closer” Brad Lidge has helped the Mets climb with-in 2.5 games, by blowing two games in a row. If the Phillies can lose tonight, the Metropolitans will be just 2 games out. This just proves to me the Phillies are not the same team they were last year. Some people might disagree and that's fine if you do. I just see them falling apart, when 46 year old Jamie Moyer leads your staff with four wins, while having five losses and maintaining a 6.27 ERA you know your in trouble. It just a matter of time before they crumble and burn.

This is the Mets chance to make everything interesting and slap the “annoying loud mouth Phillies around”. If Johan can pitch well and Pelfery can get has act together we will be in good shape. This is a crucial series to tell how the summer will go for the Mets.

LeBron: Cleveland, The Garden, Or Brooklyn?

In the summer of 2010, LeBron James has some choices to make.
Should he stay in Cleveland, with a set-in stone team with veterans, but no real other scoring threat?

Should he go to New York City and play in the greatest sports arena in the world? Or go to his favorite borough in NYC, Brooklyn?

Cleveland

Positives

1. Cleveland is LeBron's hometown, and he has been playing in Ohio since he was born.

2. The Cavs are already a playoff experienced squad. They made the NBA Finals in the '06-'07 season, and this year, made it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

3. Chinese investors bought 15 percent ownership of Cleveland. This move could grant LeBron's wish and make him a worldwide icon.

Negatives

1. LeBron has limited help.

With Big Z being 34, LeBron's big man may soon be gone. Also, Ben Wallace is rumored to be contemplating retirement. That would be a loss of two important big men for the Cavs.
With the way Mo Williams played during the conference finals, there is no one to take the scoring load off LeBron.

2. If the Cavs couldn't win it this year, what makes you think they can win it at all?
With a depleted Boston team and no other team that looked like a legit threat, the Cavs were the odds-on favorite to cruise to the NBA Finals.
Once again, LeBron's teammates let him down, and they were sent home packing and watching the rest of the playoffs on their couches instead of being in L.A. right now for Games One and Two.

New York

Positives

1. LeBron in a Knicks uniform would bring back more excitement than when New York drafted Patrick Ewing with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1985 NBA Draft.
Not to mention, playing in the greatest sports arena ever built, LeBron would be talked about more in New York than Wall Street.

2. Money, Money, Money. With an incentive-laden Nike contract, LeBron will add to his huge salary by playing in one of the three major cities—New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.
I'm sure LeBron wouldn't mind making his pocket a little fatter by playing in New York.

3. The Knicks are rumored to be in love with stand-out guard Steph Curry. LeBron is one of Curry's biggest fans. He was seen cheering Steph on during this year's Davidson vs. N.C. State game.
If the Knicks draft Curry, don't be surprised if it is a lure to get James.

Negatives

1. LeBron wants to win. The Knicks have not been to the playoffs since 2004, where they were swept by the Nets. If LeBron wants to win, and win now, he better hope New York makes a big splash or gets a post guy for LeBron to rely on.

Brooklyn

Positives

1. Sean "Jay-Z" Carter has part ownership of the New Jersey—maybe Brooklyn—Nets. It is well-known that LeBron and Jay-Z are best of friends. "Jigga Man" is known to attend LeBron's games in Cleveland occasionally during the season.
Come on now, they even have their own hand shake! Jay-Z just might reel LeBron into Brooklyn.

2. When asked what his favorite borough in New York City was, LeBron's answer was, "Brooklyn."
If the Nets could finally get this arena started, LeBron could be the face of Brooklyn, and soon enough, the Nets could be the most talked about team in New York.

3. Unlike New York and Cleveland, New Jersey has a rising-star in Devin Harris and a soon-to-be star big man in Brook Lopez. This could be intriguing for James, to play with a great ball handler and scorer and a solid low post presence by his side.

Negatives

1. The Nets may not move to Brooklyn. It has been reported that if the team cannot complete the deal to move to Brooklyn, the team will most likely go up for sale. Seattle and Kansas City are rumored to be the most likely destinations.
That would flush any hope of getting LeBron right down the tubes.

If you ask me, if the Nets can complete the move to Brooklyn, he will end up there. If not, I don't think James will want to stay in Cleveland if they fail to win it all next year and will land with the Knicks.

It should be interesting to see what LeBron will do, and the whole basketball world will be awaiting the outcome.

Should New York Knicks Trade Up For Ricky Rubio? Why Not

As of now the New York Knicks do not have a steady point guard.
Chris Duhon did not play well towards the end of the season, and Nate Robinson is going to test the market most likely if the Knicks do not resign him.

But with Knicks sitting at the eighth spot at the NBA draft most experts have them picking Stephon Curry. I'm not against that pick if the Knicks are still at number eight of course.
But I do think the Knicks should try and make a deal to get Ricky Rubio.

Ricky Rubio is most likely going to go Memphis Grizzlies at number two. So if the Knicks really want him they would have to give up their first round pick, Chris Duhon, and Quentin Richardson.

If Memphis wants to get someone else from the Knicks that is not too valuable, why not do it?
Ricky Rubio would run D'Antoni's system to perfection.Yes, Ricky is only 19 but this kid can ball.
He is a true point guard and that's what we need to make this system flourish. His NBA comparison is Walt Frazier/Steve Nash, now that's a great company to be mentioned in.

If you haven't seen this kid's game yet you better go on youtube and check out his skills. He has a great height at 6'3 but he can bulk up a little he is only 180 pounds. But with his weight like the way it is he can fly up and down the court.

However, his style of play is extremely relaxed and confident because the game comes so easily to him. People say including myself that he will have no problem adjusting to the speed of the NBA because of his basketball IQ.

If I'm Donnie Walsh and i have an opportunity like this. I will not just be satisfied with the eighth pick. I would make a deal and hop right up to the top of the NBA draft and get Ricky Rubio.

“Ten things the Mets should do to get better”.

I have been watching the Mets all year and have been coming up with ton's of thing they could do to get better. It just seems like this team is so under achieving. They are not a bad team by any means, just misguided. Everyone has to remember ,including myself, that it is only June. Its a young season, plenty of time to fix some stuff up.

I have come up with my “Ten thing the Mets should do to get better”. Pretty much, I'm just going to tell you what I think the Metropolitans should do.

Ten: Get healthy

Lately, the Mets have been called the “B” team, “Wright plus eight” and the “New York Bison”. Lets face it, they are banged up beyond belief. Even before this, they were nothing special. Yes, they were on a bit of a streak but still nothing to be jumping up and down about.

Missing Reyes,Beltran,Delgado,Church,Cora, Pagan and now Martinez is mentally, physically and emotionally tough for the rest of the team. This would be like the Yankees Missing Jeter, Teixeira,

Damon and a bunch of bench players. I don't see them winning 17 out of 22. Also, this would be like the Phillies with out Ibanez, Utley and Howard along with bench players. I don't see them doing as well either.

We will see who the Mets are when they have their All- Stars back. It can't come soon enough for us fans.

Nine: Pick up a Veteran Pitcher

Pedro is just waiting to be resigned by the Mets, to prove he still has it. I know this might hurt to hear, but Tom Glavin is now on the market. I understand why some Met fans would be scared to see him in a orange and blue uniform again. Lets just say his last outing wasn't too terrific.

In his defense, he can help the Mets in a positive way. First off, he will be dying to get back at the Braves. Also, he will be a tough match up against the strong left hand bats for the Phillies. Tommy is still a crafty Vet then can out smart the weaker teams in the N.L.

Eight:Bring in a Leader

The Mets need someone who can help rattle the club house. They need a player with a good attitude, but also will command respect. I was thinking someone like Jose Valentine. He was great for Reyes along with the other young players. Since he has been gone in late 2007, nothing has gone right. The Mets should also bring in a power bat like Aubry Huff. He is currently with Baltimore and shouldn't be hard to get.

Seven: Fire Manuel

Well it's hard to say, but Manuel isn't the kind of guy a depressed, out of whack team needs. He is a good guy and solid manger, but he doesn't cut it. Sadly, I think its time to say good bye to Jerry. He just couldn't get Reyes fired up. Let me rephrase that, he couldn't get the any of Mets fired up. Who do you bring in you might ask? To be truthful, I think you bring in a man from within. Or you give Bobby V a 15 million dollar contract.

Six:Mix up the line-up

Just completely mix up the line-up. Bat Wright 9^th and Reed 3^rd. One game, it can't hurt. It doesn't have to be that crazy, but make it different. Take a page out old old Billy's book, it worked for him so who knows.

Five: Get a little physcial with the Phills.

Jerry should have a guy like Livan throw some chin music. It really can't hurt to see any kind of fire from the Mets would be great. Hopefully the benches will be cleared, maybe a few suspensions. If thats what it takes to get the Mets going I'm all for it. Not to mention things would be more fun to watch, any time the Phillies are in town.

Four: Hold a Player Meeting

This is a time for guys like Reyes, Wright, Pelfrey and Maine to show the front office their leading skills. Maybe if some of the older guys see some passion or will to win. They might be inspired to play harder, or even care more.

Three: Let Our Starters Go the Distance.

Time after time Jerry pulls guys way to early. Livan can go all day and Santana can pitch in the hundreds . If we can get longer starts from some guys that might help save the bullpen. Also, this will make the other pitchers Maine,Pelfrey and Redding work harder.

Two: Trade Wright or Reyes

If the team just keeps failing then its time to trade one of the center piece of a so far disappointing Mets franchise. Do I want to see this, no ,but when will it be time to see this? Wright has become a “un-clutch soft player” and Reyes has lost the excitement and is injury prone. I really don't see what the Mets will do if the choking continues.

One: Let go of Omar

If the Mets get to the point where the fans stop coming, then its time to let go of Omar. Do I believe they will get to this point? Absolutely not!! If for some reason they do, then its time to take the man who built this team out.

Report: Nets Show Interest In Iverson

Sam Amico, of Probasketballnews.com is reporting that the New Jersey Nets has expressed interest in crafty veteran, Allen Iverson. Yes, you read that right, ALLEN IVERSON.

Iverson is 33, and will be 34 in 3 days. Why would the Nets want a one-time superstar and now is a washed-up player in the league? You'll have to ask Rod Thorn that question. AI averaged only 17.5 points a game and 5 assists. He had one of the worst years in his career, and even came off the bench at times this year for Detroit.

This is not the Iverson of old, who single handily led Philadelphia to the NBA Finals while averaging 31 points a game. Allen Iverson has had a great career and is one of the toughest the NBA has had, but he is most definitely not the right move for the Nets to make.

New Jersey needs to focus on the front court, not the back court. Devin Harris is slowly becoming a superstar, and many have written off Vince Carter, but I am one of the few who firmly believe VC still has it. With a solid up and coming Center in Brook Lopez, the Nets need a solid, good scoring power forward to be along side the youngster.

A perfect fit would be Carlos Boozer, who reportedly has told some close friends of his that he intends to opt out of his deal with the Jazz and sign with New Jersey or Detroit. If Boozer is not the solution, they may have to draft someone at number 11, like Dejuan Blair of Pittsburgh or James Johnson of Wake Forest.

Whatever moves the Nets decide to make, they should do themselves a favor and stay away from AI. Iverson's nickname is "The Answer", but he is for sure is not "The Answer" for the Nets.

Can The New York Knicks Make A Playoff Spot Next Year?

The New York Knicks have not made the NBA playoffs since the 2003–04 season under Lenny Wilkens. The Knicks were swept by the New Jersey Nets in the first round. So since that I haven't been a happy camper seeing my team crumble each year. With Isiah and Marbury gone, the Knicks should have a better shot of making the playoffs. Right?

After this year with Mike D'Antoni the Knicks were pretty exciting to watch Iwould have to say. We are doing a great job with knocking down the salary cap to go after the big names in the summer of 2010. But the Knicks need to make the playoffs next year for the simple fact to get the big names to come and get ready to go far in the playoffs.

Another thing is that honestly I really don't believe is, D'Antoni's system can get the Knicks into the playoffs. Yea, the Phoenix Suns were very successful with it but the Knicks don't have players like Steve Nash, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Shawn Marion.

In the East it's all about playing defense, and with D'Antoni's system I don't believe the run and gun offense will get far with this New York team. The Knicks were always known for being a tough bunch of guys that love to play defense, but along the years things change and personal change.

If the Knicks still have Mike D'Antoni as their head coach in the summer of 2010, then we have to go after guys that can shoot, make plays and get far in the playoffs. Hopefully it can work, but if he is not there, we have to go after coaches that know how to coach defense and get the right guys to play it to have a shot to get far in the NBA playoffs.

So the Knicks need to get lucky and make the playoffs next year and get some big names or possibly, the Knicks need to look for a defensive coach and win the hard way like the old days.

Pedro Martinez back in a Met uniform?

Pedro Martinez back in a Mets uniform? Could it be true? I have read some articles and heard some things and this could possibly happen pretty soon. This would be a great pick-up for the banged up Mets. Lacking a quality fifth starter, picking up Pedro for the right price would be an amazing move.

After last year a lot of Met fans, including myself, thought that maybe Pedro had ran out of gas. His numbers weren't consistent with his past brilliance at the end, therefore, I can see why the Mets didn't jump to resign him. Then came the World Baseball Classic. Pedro was magical in each of his starts. Yes, he only pitched six innings in the WBC but they were six scoreless innings, with six strike-outs. He also looked very good in pre-season with the Dominican Republic.

The Mets would truly benefit from adding a man with the experience Pedro has. Let me rephrase that. Bringing a HEALTHY Martinez would be very beneficial. Can he stay healthy is the question. One thing I have noticed is that Pedro's arm speed has been in the low 90's. Well, at least that's what he was throwing in the WBC. I can live with low 90's from Pedro and if it's mixed with that filthy change-up, Pedro can do some damage.

Now I understand that in order for the Mets to sign Pedro they would have get the right price and the timing would have to be right. It's certainly the right time, but whether it's the right price remains to be seen. If Pedro can stay healthy, the Mets have a proven winner on the team. Not to mention he is good for the club house. This move would also fire up City Field since, we all know, Pedro is a fan favorite.

If the Mets believe that Pedro is healthy and they can get him for the right price, it can be wonderful for the team and their fans.I really believe Pedro deserves one more chance.

Jets To Take A "Shot" At Plax?

Last year, New York Giants wide reciever Plaxico Burress had a rough season. Whether it was from complaing about coaches, teammates, or not showing up to practice, he was a distraction on the team. Then, his season was cut short because he was charged with a criminal possesion of a illegal hand gun in a New York night club. He can face up to a mininum of 3 1/2 years in prison if he is proven guilty. The Giants cut Burress at the end of the season and is now available in free agency.

If Burress is innocent he will be a hot free agent on the market and several teams will want to pursue him. Burress' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has said that they're at least three teams that are in contact with Burress. One of those teams certainly has to be the New York Jets.

The Jets are in need for a number one wide reciever and Plaxico can certainly be the answer for them. Plaxico is a wide out that every quarterback would want on their team. He's tall, great hands, can stay short and be a possesion reciever or stretch the field. He is a perfect red zone wide out with his height. Burress doesn't have the best speed but can his height makes up for that.

With a solid O-Line and running game, along with proven wide outs the Jets can be good on offense. If the Jets can sign Burress their offense can be top tier in the AFC and in the NFL. Yes, he can be a distraction to his team but every Sunday Burress comes and plays the game. As of right now, Plaxico Burress is still waiting for his hearing and is also a free agent, but if I'm the Jets and Plaxico is innocent they have to get this done.

Busy Offseason For The Blueshirts

After a very disappointing post-season showing for the Rangers, most fans are itching to see what changes await the New York Rangers organization. Glen Sather, the Rangers General Manager, made several changes towards the end of the regular season. One of the biggest changes was relieving head coach Tom Renney of his duties and replacing him with a notable disciplinarian, John Tortorella. Sather also added some much needed offense with 6'6, 230 pound forward Nik Antropov , who, he acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2nd round and conditional draft pick.

In order to make the playoffs this upcoming season, the Blue Shirts will have to re-sign players such as Ryan Callahan, Nik Antropov and Blair Betts. Betts was one of the main components to the Rangers finishing off the season with the best PK% in the entire league, who is going to be an unrestricted free agent at the start of the off-season.

One of the most important tasks the Rangers front office is faced with is finding a way to trade defensive bust Wade Redden and adding a young defensman that can move the puck around from the blue line. Also, the team needs a pure goal scorer to lead the way because Drury and Gomez just aren't cutting it. Unless the goalscoring problem is solved, its shaping up to be a disappointing season for the already irritated Ranger fans.

Boys Competing With Men

So, the big question around the NBA has been;LeBron or Kobe? Some may say its King James, while others will argue for Mr.Bryant
Ok, granted...Los Angeles has given Kobe a much better enviorment to succeeded in. With the help of key players;Bynum,Fisher,Gasol, and Odom. It was a lot easier to produce a winning record.
In LeBron's case, his was not given as much talent to work with in Cleveland;Ilgauskas, West and Varejao just weren't cut out for the job.
During regular season play, i guess we can conclude that LeBron was the star of the league. Although they had eerily similar records(65-17, 66-16) Lebron came out on top along with winning the MVP Award.
These two phenomenal records left both teams with a number one seed going into their bracket of the playoffs. From this point on it was going to be determined who would thrive in the spot light.
It turned out LeBron and his Cavaliers could not even make it to the NBA finals! While being knocked out in the Semis by the Orlando Magic(would have even been a sweep if not for that miraculous shot), The Lakers were still on top of their game as they won the battle against the Nuggets-lead by no other then Kobe Bryant.
This just proves it, even though he may still be young, LeBron is incapable of- not even winning, but getting to the big game(swept by the Spurs)...He has yet to suceed in the NBA Finals, and that is a problem. How are you going to claim to be the greatest player in the league, and not have a ring to show for it ?

With this being said there is no way you can even put him in the same boat as Kobe. Kobe Bryant has rings to show for his hard work, along with being in the process of getting another right now. The proof is in the pudding, Kobe straight out came to play when it mattered most. LeBron flat out choked again!

Now here's the catch, while all this madness is stirring in your head about whose better and what not, one name has often also been compared. The man, the myth, the legend-Michael Jordan. Some may also even say that their answer to the first question (LeBron or Kobe) is better then Michael. This cannot be further from the truth. Even though in my opinion Kobe came out on top of the polls, it was still a close race.

Now when you start comparing Jordan to these two, to find out who the greatest player of all time is. That is where your all wrong my friends. Michael Jordan is by far the greatest player to ever pick up the ball. Comparing to my analyse of the other two athletes, Jordan was highly capable of carrying a team. He also has the metal to show for it. Many of us have only heard about the man, and not actually seen him play. Which is not a problem, most likely he was before your time, or before you developed a love for the game. But if you have actually seen him play, you would know that this individual was his own dynasty!

Along with the rest of the Bulls, Michael Jordan won six Championships in eight seasons(91,92,93,96,97,98) Along with already having his team crowned the world's greatest, he was awarded the NBA Finals MVP all six times averaging above 27 points per game each final series!!

Okay, now you may say,"Yeah he was good on the Bulls, but what happen to the Wizards?". Well, although his time was through with being a star. He was still Michael Jordan, so obviously the Wizards wanted him, but truthfully he was washed up. The only reason he came back was to give it another shot, to prove his dedication,commitment, and love that he had for the game.

His second coming should not even be remembered! It didn't make sense. Although he might have ruined his name in Washington, he will always be remembered as the man he was in Chicago. This man was unreal! He was ridiculously good.

With all this being said, there is no possible way, he should even be compared to another athlete of his time or another. Michael Jordan is the face of professional basketball, and he always will be.

Current Top Ten MLB Teams

Number 10:Cubs

The Cubs are a team that can explode at any time, its just a matter of time. With almost the whole team coming back to revenge last years disappointing finish, they are still dangerous. The positives for the Cubs is Kosuke Fukudome is batting a team high .312 with 5 homers and 20 RBI's. Also, Ted Lilly is holding down the fort with 3.50 ERA, 6-4W/L 52 SO, those are some solid stats.

Now the negatives. Geovany Soto is having a terrible 2^nd year, batting .211 and only driving in 12 men in. He is having what you would call a “sophomore slump”. The Cubs are also with out all-star Aramis Ramirez, who will be out until at least the all star break. For the Cubs pitching isn't what it was last year, but its not a glaring weakness. If they can Lee and Soriano back they can snap back and make a run for this thing.

Number 9: The Mets

A year of ups and downs for the shaky Mets. They were getting hot on the west cost, that soon fizzled and now they are playing .500 ball. Yes, the Mets are banged up, they are sending a “B” squad out there every night so its a little hard to judge on this team right now. Never the less, I feel they are still worthy of the number 9 spot in my book.

The Mets' bullpen this year has been very good, well besides J.J they have been great. The starting pitching has been there too. Yes, shaky at first, the Mets picked up the intensity, not to mention throwing more strikes. Livan and Pelf have done there job along with Maine. Johan has been nothing short of amazing. The Mets hitting is pretty solid also. Led by Beltran, who is batting .352 . If he could just stay on the field things would be great.

The main problem is the Mets can't get anyone on the field. They have been missing Reyes, Church,Beltran,Delgado,Cora, and Angle. With a DL like that you are going to struggle at times at the plate. Now for David, the man just can't hit in the clutch. Its really becoming a normal thing for him to strike out when ducks are on the pond.

Is this Met team great? No, but they can be when healthy.

Number 8: The Phillies

No, the Phillies are not the team from last year, but they are still winning. The Phillies

are getting the job done night in and night out and thats all that matters.

The Phillies, being led by Raul Ibanez who is having a monster year. Raul is batting .338 with 17 homers and 49 RBI's. The man can rake.

The Phillies do run into some pitching problems though. Bret and Cole are a good one two punch, but after that is all question marks. How long will Jamie last? After Blanton who else do you have? Despite this, you can count on the Phillies to be right there in the end.

Number 7: Toronto Blue Jays

At one time, easily the number one team in this count down. The Blue Jays have lost 10 of 12 and are still falling. You might be surprised to see them at this spot, they are still a great team, but just hit a rock in the road. Don't forget they still have Roy Halladay, and a good young staff behind him. To go along with solid staff they have the best overall team BA in the MLB.

Yes they are down, but the season is far from over. For Toronto they have a great opportunity to make something of themselves.

Number 6: The Cardinals

The Cards started out the gates on fire, and even if they haven't played as well they are still top the N.L Central. They have the best pitching staff in the MLB. The team's ERA is a league low 3.58 and has the best winning percentage. Since Carpenter has been back, their staff in my eyes is the best. Along side him is Pinero, Lohse and Wainwright, three guys having great a year.

Along with the great pitching, their hitting hasn't been too bad either. Prince Albert has the hitting thing down pat. Batting a cool .339 with 16 homers and 45 RBI's. If he can stay hot, the Cards will fly to the post season.

Number 5: The Rangers

When you think of the Rangers you think of one thing, HITTING. The Rangers have the best slugging % in the game to go along the 2nd OPS. This team simply out-hit opponents. If their hitting can stay hot they will be a serious contender. There only down fall is pitching. Lucky for them, they score 5 runs a game.

Number 4: The Tigers

With Verlander pitching great, Miguel hitting .358 and Granderson raking at the plate, the Tigers seem to be in great shape. 1st in the Central with 3.5 games over the Twins ,the future looks bright for the Tigers.

I see them really going far. They look like a team that loves to play and have a lot of fire and emotion

Number 3: Yankees

With A Rod back in the line-up, Mark Teixeira has been batting .333 with 13 homers and 34 RBI's. The Yanks have also won 21 of 27 games, since Alex has been back. In addition to getting him back, they are getting one time ace Chien Ming Wang back as well.

The Yankees hitting has been a big part of this streak they are on. The Bronx Bombers are on an incredible tear, with 5 players hitting over .300 the yanks are 2^nd in the league with a combined .282 BA. To go along with the great hitting, the Yanks super star pitcher C.C Sabathia has been on his A game. If the Yanks keep this streak, they are certainly play-off bound.

Number 2: Red Sox

The Red Sox are a team that has a nice swagger and a bit of an attitude. The team is led by MVP Justin Pedroia, Mike Lowell, Jason Bay along with Kevin Youkilis. With this power packed line up the Red Sox will have Boston dancing in October.

Number 1: L.A. Dodgers

The Dodgers, behind the best the manager in baseball Joe Torre, are off to an impressive start. Despite losing Manny, the team has still excelled and Juan Pierre has stepped in beautifully for the roid' stricken Ramirez. Dodgers' pitching behind Chad Billingsley, who is fifth in the NL with six wins, has been fantastic. The Dodgers are in a league of their own in their division, with second place San Francisco 9 games behind. If they don't have a major meltdown in the middle of the season, they for sure will be playing on TBS during the playoffs.

Giants Favorite To Win NFC?

With a new improved defense which looks like the defense that took them to the Super Bowl 42, and a well run offense that can be very productive and can score in the red zone, their is no reason why the Giants can't run the show in the NFC. This offense will be stellar for several reasons, their O-line is going to have another great year. They were great for pass blocking and helping their running backs to reach 1,000 yards each.

The Giants receiving core is very deep this year, you have Steve Smith who has the most of reps in the group and most experience. He can be a standout receiver if he can stay healthy. Next, you have Domenik Hixon who had some spectacular plays against the Cleveland Browns in the pre season last year and had a couple of good games this past year. Then its the sensational rookie, Hakeem Nicks. He will be a huge factor this year, he looks like a kid that can really play.
Everybody raves about his catching skills. Nicks need to have a good year.
Finally, you have Ramses Barden who is the closest thing to a Plaxico type of player, Sinorice Moss and Mario Manningham have been beat in up by injuries so we are waiting to see if they can contribute. Also, Kevin Boss will be boosting this receiving core with his size, mixing up match ups and helping the offense line.

Eli Manning is getting better each year by being a quarterback that does not throw tons of interceptions or having bad completion percentage. This past year, Eli jumped up from 56.1 pct to a 60.3 pct. As for interceptions, he cut his number into half from 20 to 10. That's what Eli needs to become a top quarterback in the NFL.

When they say defense wins championships you should ask the 07 New York Giants defense if that's true. This year's defense can be as good or even better than the 07 defense. If you take one look at our defensive line this year and their line from two years ago, it has one thing in common....Depth. With the new guys in the rotation like Chris Canty and Rocky Bernard, they will have a huge impact on the defensive line. They will join the havoc with Justin Tuck, Osi Umenyiora, Barry Cofield, Fred Robbins, and with small reps Dave Tollefson and Jay Alford. The Giants will be BALLIN a lot this year in my mind.

Next, the linebackers are going to be lead by the veteran Antonio Pierce. He had some distractions last year, but he will bounce back this year because he is the heart beat of the defense. With Steve Spagnuolo gone, Pierce has to be the man and step up. Along side of him will be newly acquired Michael Boley who will help the outside linebackers with his experience. Also we have Clint Sintim who we just drafted. He will be in the hunt for the starting spot with Danny Clark. Clint looks like a hard nose player who will hit his own mother if she had the ball. Mathias Kiwanuka will be in the mix for OLB/DE. It seems this poor guy can't stay in one position for more than one year.

Finally, we have the secondary which should improve from last year. At the corner back position Aaron Ross is becoming a shutdown corner with his experience and his skills. He is a so good because he has a great football IQ. Across the field his partner is Corey Webster who came off a good season with the Giants and can have another good one. Also, Kevin Dockery will be filtering in with them.

As we see this 2009 New York Giants on paper therr should be no question why they can't be the best team in the NFC.

Also, for a quick stat for the Giants fans, we had beat in the final four teams in the playoffs in the regular season and they are; Arizona Cardinals(37-29), Philadelphia Eagles(36-31), Baltimore Ravens(30-10), and finally the Super Bowl champions Pittsburgh Steelers(21-14).

The New York Disappointments

Really? That is the only question i can ask myself lately about my coveted Metropolitans.
Don't get me wrong, I am still the biggest fan......but, ARE YOU SERIOUS??

Its been a rough two nights here for loyal Mets fans. First we blow a 5-0 lead, yesterday to lose 8-5 (Thank You Putz, now today we jump right off in the early innings with another 1-0 lead, for what ? Yeah, Santana had a few good innings, but one surprise home run took him out of his game where it was soon followed by an error. This took the wind right out of the Mets sails, as the ship began to sink. Not long after, did the PIRATES steal the booty as they marched out victorious.

Wait a minute.. Did I just type that correctly? The New York Mets whom we all love, lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates? I'll have you know, I watched both of these games in which you can see more empty seats then black and yellow tee shirts. That is pitiful. How do you lose to a team with more players then fans? PNC Park ? That place is a joke. You can purchase a ticket for $4.93. A happy meal cost more then that. PNC Bank has more tellers then this stadium has fans. Its unreal how an upcoming organization like the Mets can be embarrassed by a team like this.

OK, granted the Mets are not even close to being healthy, but truthfully I DON'T CARE! So what if we don't have any big names in the line up? Your a professional, step up to the plate. Figuratively and literally. If you are being paid millions of dollars to go play baseball-the game that you love, how can you just give up like that ?

Johan Santana, arguably the greatest pitcher in the league. You know what, maybe he is still the greatest. He didn't do too bad tonight, plus he still has a winning record by a large margin. It is not his fault. To some degree, he did his job. As for the rest of the team, how do you only produce one run in a baseball game? Especially having the greatest pitcher in the big leagues on your squad. That is a sign of disrespect towards Johan. He should be appalled with the efforts that his so called teammates are giving.

All this being said, the time is now! The Mets need to step up, big name or not; do something productive for your team and actually earn your paycheck for the week.

Even though, I would still be disappointed splitting with the Pirates, that is the best opportunity we have left and we can not take it for granted.

Unless we are ready for another orange and blue-less post season, we need to put some more "W's" on the board, STARTING NOW!

Boozer To Nets?

According to Peter Vecsey, Utah star, Carlos Boozer is unsure whether he'll return to the team or opt out of his deal to become a free agent. Who is on Boozer's radar? The New Jersey Nets and the Detroit Pistons is what Boozer was telling his close friends, according to Vecsey.

Boozer would be a welcome addition to the Nets' frontline and in my mind would make them immediate contenders in the East. With a young crop of players including rising stars, Devin Harris and Brook Lopez, along with two standout players, Vince Carter and Boozer, the Nets will be a tough team to stop offensively. With the departure of Boozer, more playing time and exposure will come for Paul Millsap, a young, talented player who came off the bench for the Jazz and averaged almost 14 points and 9 boards a game.

Vecsey, from the New York Post also believes the only way for the Nets to get Boozer would be a sign and trade. In my mind, a perfect deal for both teams would be the Nets' first round pick along with second year player Ryan Anderson, who showed off some offensive skill even though only averaging 7.4 points a game, he still showed promise. If that didn't do it for Utah, I would substitute Anderson with a more skilled offensive player like Bobby Simmons.

No matter how the Nets do this, they have to make a move on Boozer. This could be the piece that completes the puzzle. They will be well balanced with outside scorers (Carter and Harris) and frontline scorers and rebounders (Boozer and Lopez). As well as a solid scoring bench with Keyon Dooling and Chris "CDR" Douglas-Roberts.

It should be exciting to see if New Jersey will fill their holes through free agency, or the NBA Draft, which takes place on June 25. Rod Thorn has decisions to make, and he better make up his mind soon.

As the National Basketball Association season/playoffs is winding down, we are left with two teams. The always dominant team of Kobe and the Los Angeles Lakers and the rising force of Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic. Although these two may not be my teams of choice, I am still very pumped up to see how this series turns out. Not because i even care about the winner, but because i am a die-hard NBA fan. Do you feel the same way? Well here's your chance to compare among many who share the same love-of-the-game.

What It Takes To Be a True Met Fan

Empty promises, winter long stomach aches, and punch-filled walls, you might know what I'm talking about. This is what a true Mets fan deals with every year. Whether it's Beltran promising the N.L. East Division, to being up 7 games with 17 to play or some of you die hards will remember the Mets blowing a three game lead to the Cubs to lose the wild card in 1998. Even going to back to 1988 N.L.C.S where the Mets were upset by the Dodgers. After going through all of this we find out who are the real orange and blue.

Honestly, in my opinion, this helps me root for the Mets harder. I feel more of a die hard seeing these things going through my head. After going through all this pain and hardship, watching them succeed will be exhilarating. To be a true orange and blue it's pretty hard, there isn't many of them but one's that are know the game of baseball, and are very knowledgeable to the sport.

I feel the New York Mets franchise should be clumped in with the Cubs franchise and pre-2004 Red Sox. No, I'm not trying to feel sorry or self loath, all I'm saying is that if your a Mets fan your a “real fan”. It's not that our ball club doesn't want to win, we have the payroll and new ballpark. The fans are there, and yet we still find a new way to lose traumatically year in and year out. All of this is building up to one of the greatest World Series celebrations of all time.

I feel this can be our year, if healthy we have all the talent to win a championship. Do we the heart and will , I don't know. We will get a glimpse of what the Mets are made of when they square off with the Phillies and Yankees back to back. We shall have a healthy Reyes, Beltran, and Church, the B team will be no longer. In addition we have a proven Gary Sheffield and a up and coming F-Mart. If Putz can get his act together, we can have a solid bullpen. Also, Billy Wagner will be back by mid-July which will be a key addition to our already solid bullpen.

Honestly, I don't have any problems with this team, were banged up and still a game and a half out of first place. When healthy, we can be very dangerous. No, were not as good as the 1999 and 2006 team, but we do resemble a lot of the 2000 team. They battled injuries with Rey Ordenez getting injured in May and Darryl Hamilton getting injured in early June. Also, key slugger Mike Piazza was injured in July after getting clocked in the head by steroid using Roger Clemens. That team also started off slow but managed to catch fire and explode to the World Series even after only winning 94 games.

I feel this team doesn't have to win 94 games, any where from 88 to 92 wins should crown them N.L. East Champs. Lets be honest, when Joe Blanton and Jamie Moyer are holding up your 3^rd and 4^th spot's in the rotation your gonna have problems down the road. If we had a ballpark like Citizen,s we could be in the top five in all offensive categories too. Now if we get into the playoffs, do we have the team to get to the World Series? After the 2006 Cardinals won the World Series anything is possible. It just shows you have to be hot at the right time. Personally, I feel we can match up with the Dodgers and Cubs. With Johan, Pelfrey, Maine and a healthy Livan we have a solid four-man rotation as anyone else in the league.

Also, I've been reading a lot that the Mets might be pursuing Pedro Martinez. After watching him pitch in the World Baseball Classic with the Dominican Republic it shows the man can still throw. He can be a solid fifth starter in the rotation, also the fans would love to have Pedro back at the ballpark for he was a fan favorite.

Us met Fans are like no other, losing makes us want it more and winning will help us stay humble. I feel great pride tuning into SNY every night. Listening to greats like Ron and Keith, I'm pumped to watch the Mets. At times we can be fun and explosive. When Reyes returns I hope to that fire the Mets need to win a championship. Us Met fans are like no other we are faithful and we get emotional. One thing I can promise is when we finally do drink from the cup it will taste sweeter then any of the Yankees 26.

Johan Santana will come in and save the day

Johan Santana will come in and save the day. That is one statement Mets can confidently say. After watching the Mets blow another game, it will be pleasant to watch Johan pitch. He is what keeps us Met fans safe. The man is a gamer and is the best thing the Mets have had since Seaver in 1969.

Johan will be entering tonight's game with a 7-2 record witch could easily be 11-0 and a 1.77 ERA. Those are some nice numbers, and facing a under achiever in Duke, the Mets should put a licking on the Pirates. Even if we score two runs, this should be a “W” in the record books.

I feel Johan will get 8 innings tonight and personally hand it over to K rod. I think all Met fans would prefer it that way. I feel if Johan can hit his spots against a week Pittsburgh's line up, we should be in great shape.

Pittsburgh, who is top ten in strike-outs in the MLB should have a head- ache with Johan. Lets all hope that Jerry Manuel gets smart and lets Johan go to work and keeps him in the game. Someone should tell the Mets, "Don't worry about scoring 6-7, all they need to do is score 2-3". In reality, lets hope the Mets can be calm do what they have to do and let Johan do everything else.

I think I speak for all Met fans, watching Johan go 8 and K-Rod finish it up would feel good after watching last nights game. Any type of win would feel good after last night. Losing tonight would really mentally give a huge blow to the Mets. I don't see that happening though, not with the savor Johan on the mound. I'm calling it, Mets win 3-1 tonight, I know not really a hard pick but it never is with Santana on the mound.

The Bullpen Fails Again, Well Actually J.J fails Again.

The bullpen fails again, well actually J.J fails again. The Mets started off the game with timely hitting and great base running. To add to the 5 nothing lead, Livan Hernandez was pitching very well, striking out six and giving up 3 in 5.2 innings of work. After Parnell showed ice water in his vein's by getting out of a jam in the 6^th, I felt good.

The Mets bats went silent after the 4^th, but I mean what do you expect. Give these guys some credit 5 runs should be enough to hold off the Pirates right? I guess not. The thing that bothers me is how it happened. J.J Putz, the man who is suppose to be the center piece off our bullpen blows it again, come on! The Mets are spending money you would spend on a closer on this man and he “can't get up for it"? Thats a disgrace to himself, to the Mets and to the faithful.

The more I watch this selfish choke artist, the more I agree on sending him out of here. The guy isn't sure if his arm is sore? Like really? Billy comes back in about 6 weeks and Parnell should be able hold down the fort until then. So please Omar, get what you can get for J.J while you still can.

The Mets are trying to give him confidence by sending Parnell out there in the 6^th. Then by putting J.J in the 8^th they were telling him, “Hey your still our man”. I'm so fed up with losses like this it's going to come back to haunt us.

I'm not saying the season is over or we should all be alarmed about what happened. The Mets did let one out of the bag tonight. Speaking for all Met fans watching the Pirate faithful awaiting the last out in the top of the 9^th sent a cold chill down my spine.

A cruel reminder of last year rummaged through my head. Is this game a huge loss? No probably not, but lets hope we don't look back at the box score in early October and remember this one.

Leon Ends His Drought

Leon Washington reported to the Jets OTA's today after missing the first three weeks of the workout. Washington was missing the workouts because he was upset over his contract. He wasn't the only Jets running back to hold out as Thomas Jones held out until he reported last Wednesday because he too was upset over his contract.

Washington is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract he signed back in 2006 after being drafted by the Jets in the fourth round. He is scheduled to make about $535,000 this year. Washington is asking for a contract that pays him about $6 million dollars a year, similar to contracts for players like Darren Sproles and Maurice Jones-Drew.

Washington is coming off a Pro Bowl season as he rushed for 448 yards off 76 carries and six touchdowns. He also had 355 yards receiving with 2 touchdowns and one touchdown off special teams.

With Washington and Jones back the Jets running tandem shouldn't miss a beat. They will be a huge factor in coach Rex Ryans' new offense. Ryan wants to run an "all weather offense' which means a lot of running will be happening for these two backs.

Mets Must Wins in Pitt.

Yes, it’s Pittsburgh, and they have been a bottom feeder in the central for years. This does not mean the Mets should take them lightly. The Mets are sending out their “B” team for their sixth straight game. Yea they went five and one in the stretch, and winning for these guys is the only way to build experience.

This is a great opportunity for them to build up their confidence against a team like Pittsburgh. For the Yankees are peering down the road.

The Mets throw out their three best pitchers. Living Hernandez, Johan Santana, and Mike Pelfrey. Even more reason why a clean sweep is necessary. The Mets have to take care of teams that are not as skilled as them. Even if the “B team is out there, they are still more talented.

Honestly, I don’t mind this line-up. They all play with heart and its inspiring. Finally some emotion with somebody in a Met uniform that wants no win.

So tonight, if Livan can have a solid start the Mets should cruise to an easy win. With the Sheff playing so well, the Mets walk with a swagger. Signing him was the best move they made all year.

Do I think this is the best team we had in the past three years? It's not even close. But this team definetly tries the hardest. Truly that’s all that matters.
